Personal Data Protection Office’s Sectoral Inspections Plan for 2023

The Personal Data Protection Office adopted a Sectoral Inspection Plan for 2023. Inspections must be expected by data processing entities using web-based or mobile applications and by authorities processing personal data in the SIS and VIS systems.

The detailed Sectoral Inspections Plan of PDPO for 2023 includes:

1. Authorities processing personal data in the Schengen Information System and the Visa Information System - the processing of SIS/VIS personal data on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 24 August 2007 on the participation of the Republic of Poland in the Schengen Information System and the Visa Information System (Journal of Laws 2021, item 1041), and other implementing acts and European Union regulations.
2. Entities processing personal data by means of mobile applications - the manner of securing and providing access to personal data processed in connection with the use of applications.
3. Entities processing personal data using web applications – the manner of securing and sharing personal data processed in relation to the use of applications.
