The Personal Data Protection Office at the Tour de Constitution workshop
Representatives of the Personal Data Protection Office took part in a workshop organised as part of the Tour de Constitution initiative for students of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie School Complex No. 3 in Wiskitki. The meeting deepened the students’ understanding of the topic of artificial intelligence, especially in terms of its everyday use. The workshop was held on 25 March 2024 at the initiative of the KORD Foundation.
In the first part of the meeting, Natalia Misiuk, Director of the High Tech Department of the Personal Data Protection Office, addressed the opportunities and risks associated with the development of digital technologies in the context of personal data protection. She introduced the issue of digital security and emphasised the importance of privacy on the Internet. She also presented practical ways to protect it, indicating how important it is to use technology consciously and responsibly.
During the second part of the meeting, students took an active part in a task aimed at introducing the issue of technology from the point of view of data protection and privacy. Together, the workshop participants created posters showing the opportunities and positive applications of artificial intelligence, as well as the negative aspects and risk of this technology. This was followed by a lively discussion during which many interesting conclusions and ideas emerged.
The aim of the Tour de Constitution initiative is to promote knowledge of constitutional rights and to encourage civil activity. The Office’s participation in the initiative is linked to the meeting between Mirosław Wróblewski, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, and Robert Hojda, the President of the KORD Foundation, and their declaration of support for the Tour de Constitution project.
