Meeting of the President of the Polish SA with representatives of the Direct Marketing Association
Mirosław Wróblewski, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, and his employees met with representatives of the Direct Marketing Association.
The meeting discussed good practices in the direct marketing industry. Issues relating to legal acts such as the Act Electronic Communications Law in the context of personal data protection were discussed.
During the talks, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office expressed satisfaction with the Direct Marketing Association's declaration of cooperation and involvement in activities aimed at increasing the level of personal data protection in the direct marketing and contact center industry.
"The processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes requires precise regulation. This is necessary in order to effectively protect the interests of citizens and effectively safeguard their personal data." - noted Mirosław Wroblewski.
Representatives of the Direct Marketing Association resented to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office the problems faced by the direct marketing industry in the area of personal data protection. They also brought their point of view related to reconciling marketing activities and consumer data protection.
