Results of the 12th edition of the student essay competition

The competition committee composed of experts from the Personal Data Protection Office, specialists from the National Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law and the law firm Kobylańska Lewoszewski Mednis sp. j. has for the 12th time selected the winners in an essay competition for law and administration students. This time the students focused on the extremely important topic of data processing by artificial intelligence these days. The topic of the case study was "Testing the aptitude of students using artificial intelligence."

The basis for the competitors' formulation of conclusions and assessments in the topics presented in the case study were primarily the communications and decisions of the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, the cited literature and international case law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the newly adopted Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act).

We are pleased to announce that this year the competition committee, decided to grant:

  • the 1st place to Ms Monika Banaś from Jagiellonian University in Krakow
  • the 2nd place to Ms Marta Kost from Kozminski University in Warsaw
  • the 3rd place to Ms Aleksandra Mizerska from University of Warsaw

Special prizes in the form of participation in a training programme at the Personal Data Protection Office were awarded to:

  • Ms Marta Kost from Kozminski University in Warsaw
  • Ms Aleksandra Mizerska from University of Warsaw
  • Mr Mateusz Wawrzeńczuk from Kozminski University in Warsaw
  • Mr Adam Tochowicz from University of Business and Administration in Gdynia
  • Ms Magda Kacprzak-Waśkowska from Kozminski University in Warsaw

We congratulate the winners of the competition!

The ceremony of awarding diplomas and prizes in the competition will be held on June 27 during a conference at the University of Warsaw.
