“Personal Data Protection of Employees in the MSME Sector” Webinar. Research Results
The Personal Data Protection Office kindly invites you to participate in a webinar to discuss the results of a report on the protection of employees' personal data in companies in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector. The event will take place on June 25 at 10:00 am.
The research was conducted in May 2024 on behalf of the National Debt Register Economic Information Bureau and ChronPESEL.pl service under the patronage of the Personal Data Protection Office using the technique of online intelligence (CAWI) on the TGM Research Panel. The panel was held on a random-quota group of 400 representatives of MSMEs companies in Poland meeting the criteria for decision-making (owner, co-owner of the company, management board, director or employee of the financial department) and processing personal data. The sample was controlled by the size of the company - micro, small and medium-sized companies (about 1/3 of the interviews for each group).
Already during the previous webinars, conducted on behalf of ChronPESEL.pl and National Debt Register under the patronage of the Personal Data Protection Office, experts highlighted the need for a closer examination of employees data processing practices in the MSME sector.
Which personal data of employees are processed? By what means are these data stored - in paper form, or does electronic form prevail? How do employers themselves assess the accuracy of personal data processing in their organizations, and how are thesedata processed? Are they worried about the leakage of personal data and how do they protect themselves against it? These and many other questions, The invited guests and employees of the Office will try to answer these and many other questions.
The discussion of the report's conclusions will be undertaken by Malgorzata Dulinska-Majkowska, legal counsel, Head of the Data Protection and Privacy Team at the Kaczmarski Group; Bartlomiej Drozd, expert of the ChronPESEL.pl service, Director of the B2C Product Development Department at the Kaczmarski Group; Andrzej Kulik, Director of the Market Analysis and Communication Department, Press Officer at the National Debt Register; and representatives of the Personal Data Protection Office representing the Inspections and Breaches Department.
