The Personal Data Protection Office at the next stop of the Tour de Konstytucja

On August 6th, at Pieczyska Beach in Koronowo, the next stop of the Tour de Konstytucja took place, with the participation of a representative from the Personal Data Protection Office.

During the event, two debates were held. One of these featured Roman Sobotka, PhD, a long-standing employee and representative of the Personal Data Protection Office. The debate focused on the protection of privacy (Article 47 of the Constitution) and personal data (Article 51 of the Constitution). Judge Monika Maćkowiak of the District Court in Bydgoszcz also participated in the discussion.

The debate addressed issues related to the theft of personal data and the dangers associated with the use of artificial intelligence. The experts offered advice on what actions to take in the event of such abuses. They also devoted significant attention to prevention, discussing methods that can minimize the risk of personal data being exploited by criminals. Roman Sobotka, the representative of the Office, also explained how to protect oneself from unwanted marketing.

The goal of the Tour de Konstytucja initiative is to promote knowledge about constitutional rights and to encourage civic engagement.
