The world of medical robotics and personal data protection
The question on what impact does the use of medical robotics have on the protection of personal data and what benefits it can bring us, and what threats or challenges it generates for our privacy, will be answered by eminent experts during the conference entitled "Data protection in medical robotics in the era of AI ACT and EHDS", which will be held on October 15, 2024 from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
The President of the Personal Data Protection Office and the AI One Health Foundation, together with the Polmed Chamber and the National Information Processing Institute – National Research Institute, in cooperation with the Social Team of Experts at the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, invite you to participate in the conference "Data protection in medical robotics in the era of the AI Act and EHDS", which will be broadcast on October 15, 2024 from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. via the website of the Personal Data Protection Office www.uodo.gov.pl.
During the four debates, participants will be invited to the world of robotics and practical applications of medical devices. Among the main topics that will be discussed during the meeting are: the culture of medical data in Poland, the applicable standards in medical robotics, the functioning of robots in the context of cyber threats, or the challenges for data in the cloud in the era of AI ACT and EHDS.
The aim of the conference is not only to show robotics in technological terms, but also to highlight the complexity of the challenges that affect data protection in the medical sector. We would like to indicate the necessary directions of action to build a safe space for medical data, in which the patient's right to personal data protection is always put first, and all procedures used with the use of medical robots will take into account the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation.
