The President of the Polish SA met with representatives of the data protection authority from Kosovo
On November 8, 2024, Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office, met with Krenare Sogojeva Dërmaku, Commissioner of the Information and Privacy Agency of Kosovo, at the Personal Data Protection Office headquarters in Warsaw.
The visit of the Chair of Kosovo’s data protection authority provided an opportunity for the heads of both institutions to become acquainted and to exchange experiences. During the meeting, the participants presented the organisational structures of their institutions, discussed their operations, and described their roles within their respective legal systems. Mirosław Wróblewski also highlighted practical aspects of applying data protection laws and procedures, presenting them within the broader context of the European system for the protection of fundamental rights.
"Both the Polish and Kosovo data protection authorities have extensive experience in the field of personal data protection. Comparing and exchanging these experiences serves as both a source of knowledge and inspiration for us. I am convinced that during our meeting we managed to create a broad platform for further discussion and cooperation," summarised Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
