Personal Data Protection Office at the Kindergarten Olympics
On September 26, 2024, the Olympics for kindergarten children, organized by the Capital Sports Center Active Warsaw, took place at the Hutnik Center on Marymoncka Street in Warsaw. During the event, representatives of the Personal Data Protection Office popularised personal data protection among the participants.
The Olympics were officially opened by Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor Renata Kaznowska and the Directory of Capital Sports Center Active Warsaw. The event, attended by about 300 children from 10 kindergartens, began with the symbolic lighting of the Olympic torch.
The kindergarten children had the opportunity to test their skills in a number of sports competitions, but an equally important part of the event was the data protection education promoted by the Personal Data Protection Office.
The Personal Data Protection Office experts prepared a special information stand where children could learn in an accessible way what privacy is and how to take care of personal data. The classes were adapted to the age of the participants and enjoyed great interest among the youngest.
The Personal Data Protection Office regularly engages in educational initiatives to promote awareness of data protection. It places special emphasis on educating the youngest so that they understand the importance of protecting their data from an early age.
