Meeting of the President of the Personal Data Protection Office with the Polish Chamber of Insurance
Mirosław Wróblewski, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, along with his team, met with representatives of the Polish Chamber of Insurance, including Andrzej Maciążek, the Vice-President of the Board, and Kamila Czeczko, the Chair of the Personal Data Protection Working Group. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the challenges facing the insurance industry in managing personal data protection processes.
The participants discussed current issues related to data processing in the insurance industry. The topic of updating personal data in insurance contracts was raised, emphasising the need for insurance companies to effectively contact clients without the risk of disclosing personal information. Attention was also drawn to the necessity of adapting to changes driven by rapid technological advancements. Experts also addressed European-level legislation and discussed the issue of a code of conduct for the insurance sector.
At the end of the meeting, participants discussed joint educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness about personal data protection. Both institutions recognize the need to bring the topic of data protection and education on this matter closer to all interested parties.
