We invite you to participate in the conference on the European Health Data Space
On 26 March, a conference will be co-organised by the President of Personal Data Protection Office together with the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Warsaw, the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Chamber of Physicians entitled "The European Health Data Space – a challenge for Europe. Deploying solutions in the era of AI, Big Data and personalised medicine’.
The conference will be held at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Warsaw. We invite you to register on the website of the University of Warsaw.
The aim of the conference is to create a space for debate on how to adapt national orders to the solutions introduced by the EU Regulation on the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The EHDS is part of the European Data Strategy, which aims to create mechanisms in Europe to allow a wider use of data by various entities, including businesses and public authorities, while ensuring the protection of data subjects' rights.
The EHDS has a special role to play, as it involves the mass processing of, among other things, health data, which is subject to strict limitations in the framework of mechanisms for the protection of individual rights. At the same time, in order for the solutions adopted in the EHDS to be properly implemented, it is necessary to set up an infrastructure and a surveillance system within the Member States. This will require the cooperation of different entities, both in the private and public sectors. The aim of the conference is to discuss the models for the implementation of the EHDS and the role of the various entities in their implementation.
At the same time, we would like to inform you that the conference will be broadcast on the Personal Data Protection Office website. The link to the broadcast will be available on the day of the conference.
