The President of the Personal Data Protection Office, Mirosław Wróblewski, was honoured with the prestigious title of ‘Outstanding Personality of the Year 2025 - Legal Visionary’ at the ‘Personalities and Successes’ 2025 gala held on 13 April in Warsaw.

This award is given to individuals who have had a special impact on shaping the contemporary social world. The award to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office is a recognition of his long-standing activities in the field of constitutional and European law, personal data protection, as well as his activity as a human rights defender and social activist.

Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office, continues his mission to protect fundamental rights, with particular emphasis on the right to privacy. A right that is becoming increasingly important these days.

‘This award would not have been possible without former and current colleagues, primarily from the Ombudsman's Office, the legal counsels' self-government, civil society organisations and the current Personal Data Protection Office’s team. It is a joint work and commitment of these circles that make it possible to effectively protect citizens‘ rights, to cooperate with public, non-governmental, business and academic institutions, both in terms of law enforcement and legal education of the whole society,’ Mirosław Wróblewski stressed.
