The Personal Data Protection Office and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate will cooperate

On 30 October in Warsaw, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office Mirosław Wróblewski and the Chief Sanitary Inspector Paweł Grzesiowski signed a cooperation agreement. It aims at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions, in particular in areas related to the processing of ill persons data or data of individuals designated as contact persons by the patients. In accordance with the provisions of the agreement, cooperation will be implemented at both central and local level, in full respect of the competences and responsibilities of each Party. The Personal Data Protection Office and the Chief Sanitary Inspector will exchange information relevant to counteracting violations of law in the field of personal data processing and work together to raise knowledge and awareness in this area.

As part of the cooperation, it is planned to co-organise conferences, seminars, trainings and other educational initiatives dedicated to the protection of personal data, as well as mutual sharing of information and training materials. The Parties also undertook for the future events to include the subject of personal data protection in their programmes and to exchange experiences and good practices.
