Artificial intelligence and new technologies and city management

Deputy President of the Personal Data Protection Office, Konrad Komornicki took part in this year's Forum of Local and Regional Authorities in Zakopane on 25-26 November 2025. The event brought together representatives of public administration, leaders and experts dealing with social and economic development.

Konrad Komornicki, Deputy President of the Personal Data Protection Office, spoke in a discussion entitled "Al in city management – how to use artificial intelligence for the benefit of residents?". The panel was held as part of the "Investments and Development" path. The conversation focused on the practical application of artificial intelligence in cities. It also considered how modern technologies can support the development of public services and improve the quality of life of residents.

The panel also focused on the challenges related to the implementation of Al-based solutions, drawing attention to the need for a responsible approach to technology and building social trust. Participants stressed that development must go hand in hand with respect for citizens' rights and concern for the transparency and security of personal data.

The Forum of Local and Regional Authoritiesis organised by the Foundation Institute of Eastern Studies. It is an important space for the exchange of experiences between local governments and for debates on new trends and challenges facing local authorities.
