Webinar "Click sensibly – how to protect your personal data?"
The Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) and the Office of Electronic Communications are organizing an online lecture, which will take place on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. The lecture on the security of young people's personal data on the Internet is addressed to students of the 7th and 8th grades of primary schools participating in the 12th edition of the UODO’s nationwide educational programme "Your data – Your concern".
During the webinar, experts will refer to many issues that help shape conscious attitudes among young people. During the lecture, event participants will be able to learn about the "Your data – your concern" programme, thanks to which they have the opportunity to see why data protection is important in the life of every person, including students. Experts from the Personal Data Protection Office and the Office of Electronic Communications will also advise you on how to protect personal data to avoid dangers. They will pay attention to the consequences of irresponsible use of the Web. They will emphasize the real consequences of publishing content on social media or the lack of anonymity in a virtual space. They will indicate the ways to protect oneself against online threats, such as phishing, hate speech, sexting or dangerous online contacts.
This is a subsequent meeting in the series of lectures for participants of the "Your data – Your concern" programme. Support in the organisation of the event is provided by the Computer Assisted Education and Information Technology Centre in Warsaw.
